- Great start, gets lost in the middle into a history of ceramics, which does not reflect the title. Sharpen and make concise the historical content and get to the ?meat? of the subject.

- It would be useful to have an indicaiton in the text of illustrations to be used.
A clear statement on how the research extends our understanding of serendipity and ?controlled accident? in craft would be useful. There are some hypos and references missing ? Kristera (?) and years?
