- A sequential approach to telling a decision making story in the context of craft practice by research, however the reader is left wondering what the argument is, and what the significance of storytelling is to the methodology used. The line of argument concerning research by practice requires greater referencing particularly with regards open-ended problems and decision making (i.e. indeterminacy).
I would suggest the meaning of decisions is articulated and that the connections between decisions is communicated in every instance. Also if neurophysiology and philosophy are to be included in the argument, they need to be meaningfully integrated and more fully discussed. Editing of the discussion about practice required.

- The reviews of the abstract suggest that this is an exhibition proposal and a paper ? is this right (it probably should be)? The paper describes PhD research involving ceramics and its relationship to the body through touch ? an under-researched and under-theorized area. As such it makes an interesting contribution to our understanding of the realtionship between practice and theory in doctoral research and how this is manifested in making and writing.
