Its all there in terms of the relationship between theory and practice; the end result whilst meeting the requirements of the PhD and relating to the sense of touch, I am not sure they have a visual aesthetic.

Reads well and is an interesting piece of work. The author assumes the reader has local and/or national knowledge , for example, ?As seen in the Whitechapel...? Can it be assumed this is the Whitechapel gallery in London? If so, provide all the details. Also, it would be helpful if further explanation was given of key points, for example, ?West?s Seven Adaptives...provided only a limited tactile experience, and this is further eroded by an accompanying film...? why did West?s work only provide limited tactile experience?

Why is the sense of touch perceived by the author as important? How does interaction with the scupltural ceramic work generate a sense of self? Has this been tested, if so what were the results? If not, will it be tested at the exhbition?
