- This paper attends to work that is at a very early stage; it is a descriptive piece which communicates the story of creating a draft hypothesis. While this is an important phase for the author to understand, it does not meet the conference requirements as there is no argument in the paper.

- This paper addresses craft?s contribution to industry. It is a very technical paper and focuses solely on metalwork. Much more could be made of articulating what is ?craft? in this context. The areas of ?truth to materials?, the relationship to aesthetics and design could all be enlarged. Ultimately the implications of this project for wider understanding of craft need to be extrapolated and clearly articulated.
