The paper needs introducing and tighter contextualisation of the argument. Indeed, the argument needs to be stated simply and referred to throughout, as this will help the reader follow the line of thought. Interesting taxonomy, but the value gets lost due to the disjointed structure of the paper.

This is essentially a good paper, presenting a taxonomy that should prove of interest to the conference. However, some of the writing style, referencing and presentation seems careless and requires strengthening. There are a number of minor typos throughout. One reference refers to wikipedia, which is questionable. This should be changed or removed. Reference 21 is unclear. Bernard Leach is refered to as ?Bernard Leech?. The line - (check if E-bay plays a part in this ? if not, perhaps this is a new avenue.) ? appears in the text as seemingly a note to the author. And the section on Further Debates is a list of headings. The paper needs tidying up and rewriting to ensure readability.

This is an enjoyable, informative, well-constructed read, dealing with important issues of Craft?s value. Offering the reader and practitioner some thought provoking criteria when evaluation craft objects and how their inherent value can be communication to a wider public.

The information discussed does not appear to be new.
But what is interesting and relevant is how the various diagrams and bullets points come together to provide a persuasive argument for testing and discussion.
The final triangular diagram needs to be appropriately credited.
