- This is an insightful piece of work with a well formulated argument. The paper requires some information to be placed in as ?footnotes? rather than be included in the main discussion.

- This paper fulfils the abstract with its wider commentary on craft practice and description of the intimacy of studio weaving and how it can inform Industrial production through collaboration.
When the paper reveals; insights of material selection, weaving construction, qualities of finishing and how these impact on and are resolved in production is when the paper is at its most informative. Additions examples would have been desirable as this is at the heart of collaboration.
To help understanding the context of the collaboration can the author comment on; how the partnership was established, whether it is an ongoing relationship or a one-off project and any brief reflective guidance to assist other practitioners wishing to build bridges with the textile industry.
