- The writing does not reflect the research; it moves between two elements ? the health/memory aspect and craft itself. Focus is needed to identify and run with a single issue for clarity ? as the audience will be dementia free?
Focus should be given to crafts as a means to access stones.

- An important area of research which I am sure must have many ethical considerations. It would have been helpful for the author to have considered explaining this in terms of craft practice as it has the potential to offer insight into contemporary practice.
Also, the title and content of the proposal do not reflect one another. Indeed, it would be helpful if the author explained the value of knitting as a method for working with people with dementia. Has it been measured/evaluated? If so, what were the impication for future practice? How did working with people who suffer from dementia impact on the process of making?
The textile work proposed for exhibit does not correlate to the text, perhaps the process is of greater significance than the end textile product? An interesting narrative that needed developing if to be fully considered.

- There is a substantial body of writing on craft as therapy and this proposal does not add to our understanding in this area. The proposal lacks rigour and its content is unappropriate for this conference.
